Zarina Sani (1936–1982)[1] (Urdu: زرىنو سانی) was a renowned Indian Urdu poetess, writer and researcher.

Sani was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra. She obtained Master of Arts degrees in Urdu and Persian, and a Ph.D.
Sani was a lecturer in L.A.D. College, Nagpur.[2]
She is known for her Ph.D. thesis on the poetical works of Seemab Akbarabadi titled Seemab kii nazamiya shayarii, and her critical appraisal of the life and works of Mehr Lal Soni Zia Fatehabadi titled Budha Darakhat.[3] Her other books are Urdu shayarii kii Hindustani rooh and Safdar Aah bahasiat shair.
Sani co-authored Aaina-e-Ghazal, an Urdu-Hindi-Marathi-English glossary of Urdu words commonly used in Urdu ghazals, with English and Hindi equivalents.[4]
